I love this recipe: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4778/pear-tarte-tatin. Even though it's one of those recipes that I always think is going horribly wrong whilst I'm cooking, it always seems to fall into place somehow. I made it yesterday and here are the results - not quite photogenic yet but still good to eat on a Sunday evening, the spices and brandy adding a touch of warmth. And that, below, is my kitchen, and my dog, Susie - a very cuddly cocker spaniel!
